Painting classes for children aged 2-12 Classes teach children the fundamentals of art in a fun, hands-on manner to open up their imagination, build appreciation for art and discover the ability to make art that lies dormant in all people. Class Demographics: Children and parents will meet in the Lexington Oaks clubhouse for one hour each week Curriculum: 2-5 year olds learn the basics of line, color, shape and using their creativity.Example Projects: painting shapes with sponges, art found in nature, drawing, and collages.6-12 year olds: line, color, shape, texture, value, form, scale, shading, texture, and basic perspective.Example Projects: sketching still life’s, drawing buildings from perspective, shading to create volume, graphing out pictures to create realistic drawings, and abstract/figurative/landscape/still life painting techniques. Two groups: ages 2-5 (parents attend) and 6-12(parents optional)
Price - four week program (1x a week):
2-5 year olds $65 (plus $10 supplies), 6-12 year olds $95 (plus $10 supplies)
